Elisabeth Marsh and Audrey McCullough have started painting their mural The Secret Life of Hummingbirds in the Art in Action Tent, north of Old Town Square on Mountain. Stop by and see them through August 2. Elisabeth and Audrey hope to draw in observers to take a closer look when they spot various hummingbird species flitting in and around the large flowers of the mural. The scene is set on a background with a bright blue sky and pastel clouds. Their desire is to create images of beauty that will inspire onlookers to notice beauty and the importance in the small things around them-not only in the mural but in everyday life. #focoart #focomusic #paintedpiano #publicart

Come see Sofia Ramirez’s @artworkofsofirami piano mural come together. She will be painting through Monday, July 19, in the Art in Action tent north of Old Town Square on Mountain. Her mural Chrysanthemum Daydream is meant to be an escape from mundane daily life. It is an exploration into a surreal and peaceful dreamscape, an ethereal space where you can paint your own world full of color, hope, and endless possibilities. I love when I have the opportunity to give back and to show gratitude to people I meet. Last year a beautiful couple got engaged at my piano and I gifted a study to them as an engagement gift. This year I was able to give my concept design to a lovely women who cared deeply for the piano she donated to the #pianosabouttown program. I really feel like things happen for a reason in life. I was nervous that my art wouldn& #x27;t be in her taste. But, one of the first things she told me is that she loved the swirls and would have painted the piano just like this if she could. It made my heart burst. Its hard to do public art sometimes. Painting on the side of the road opens you up to every fleeting comment of people walking by, both good and rotten. Its like standing out there in my underpants. But its not my body for all to see. Its my soul. Raw and vulnerable. I& #x27;m happy with my work and I& #x27;m proud of myself.
