Yesterday, playing around at the launch of the 2019 @singforhope pianos! My piano will live for the next 3 weeks at 28 Liberty St in FiDi, along with two others. Come check it out, and play! There are pianos being set up al over NYC, and at the end of the month, they’ll be placed in public schools. Such a wonderful project, and so happy to be a part of it 💕

This was the best moment of the day for me. A little boy climbed this stool while clutching his toy trains. This piano is called New York City Nighttime and the artist is Jayson Valles. The kid was drawn to this piano because of the subway trains painted along the base. He sat for a while, unsure of what to do next. His mother waited patiently behind him. When he finally extended his arm, he played a single note with the assurance of a seasoned pro. It was only then I realized that I was holding my breathe the entire time. Today’s @singforhope Piano Launch was incredible. It has been such a tremendous honor to be a part of this project. After spending months planning and producing my piano and watching the other 49 pianos come together, seeing them all exhibited was truly amazing. Seeing people interact with and play the pianos is an indescribable experience. The arts are so important, and seeing and feeling the joy and witnessing the outpouring of creativity and fun as people of different ages and different backgrounds played the pianos...it has been such an inspirational and magical experience. Thank you to everyone who came out today, to those who shared their songs with us, to the gifted performers, to my fellow artists, and all the people that made this possible, thank you.
