This is why I LOVE MY CITY 🙏🙌💜👏 Thank you to a guy named Aaron who took the time to teach my daughter Valentina who is 5 some piano on Sunday 17th February 2019 @artscentremelbourne We simply walked past the arts centre & heard another boy play something beautiful (last pic) then when I asked Aaron if he was going next because my daughter may just play as has never played a piano before he offered to teach her some things! This was her first experience with a real piano & something that will stay with her forever! THANK YOU Aaron whoever you are what a beautiful act of random kindness! You also gave her some encouraging advice about your experience which I would like to share. You told us of your journey that a teacher would teach you classical piano & her method was not so nurturing & enjoyable so you wanted to quit yet you discovered jazz & other styles then continued yourself with the passion within not allowing that experience to discourage you! PLAY ME, I& #x27;M YOURS For a few minutes last night, they were all mine (along with 5 others). It& #x27;s pretty special when my husband& #x27;s penchance for night long exposure photography comes together with my love of art and music. From dusk & #x27;til after midnight, we visited 15 of the 16 inner city locations where these interactive works of art can be found. More often than not there was an Asian playing it (yes, our parents were overachievers). I got to sing Zombie on piano by the yarra river with a huge moon on top of me and the bright lights of the city colouring the dark waters (*beat that). I zoned out until realized someone was filming. Then I screwed it up.😂 What a great project @artscentremelbourne ! It’s called Play Me I’m Yours, an international public piano exhibition that’s popped up in over 55 cities around the world. This January, it’s our turn. You might remember these pianos from 2014 when British artist Luke Jerram brought them out for a summer run. They were pretty popular.
