Onward, Oneself (Oo Piano) • Designed by Nur Zafirah Binte Roslee, Muhammad Ridhauddin, Chua Xiang Xiang, Tham Xin Yi (NAFA) • The concept of the Oo piano design is to reflect, acknowledge and signify the significant deeds and accomplishments achieved by the society in today’s context. The function of the piano is to convey one’s character and feelings. Thus with the reflection of individuals on the gold mirror, in together with the urbanized structures surrounding the piano showcase the nation’s progress from the past till present. We incorporated the tinted mirror glass material into the design. In doing so, makes it a metaphor for defining the characteristics of individual‘s self-identity. The color gold used on the piano can be seen as the modern touch to the classic and marks the golden age of Singapore. #playitforwardsg #ourfaveplacesg #archifest

It's the weekend and the musicians are out to play!

Guess what? A group of string players passed by our pianos this morning and did an impromptu recital with us under the bridge! Hello Singapore Institute of Management String Ensemble! 👋🏻

Did you know that our pianos have names? Say hello to Floyd and Maurice! Maurice is our first piano created by co-founder and artist Billy Soh. Billy had a list of names and chose Maurice because the piano had a old feel and mature harmonic character. Can you guess which classical composer it is named after? Well, as for Floyd, we suspect it has got something to do with all that pink ;)

4 hands are better than 2! It is a lovely weekend so come on down and jam on our public pianos under the Esplanade Bridge. The pianos are available for playing 24/7 till -6 October!
