I've had another really productive day today! It's been like a neon pink painting party here! I've gone through 3 cans of the stuff and now I need to order more! **Back to it this week!** I'm not officially back to work until Saturday 9th when I collect my first commission of the year. I'll be using this week for admin, completing my tax return 🙄 and ordering new stock. This includes ordering new brushes, paint, and I've just ordered some new snazzy face shields for consultations, deliveries and collections. Exciting eh? I also need to sort out some branded t-shirts for myself and my delivery team. Recommendations welcome! I'm also often given a key to people's homes when doing big commissions and I can't cope with anymore suspicious looks from neighbours!🤣 I will be in a branded t-shirt from now on! Piano done! I finished my latest piano commission today! I can't share the final design because it's a suprise Christmas present for a very talented young lady. Lots of hard work goes into creating a crisp, white piano. I sanded, primed, painted and top coated this one giving it a total of 6/7 coats! I then added the most pretty floral detailing to the front! If you would like to grab a bargain piano for me to paint then check out the buying and selling sites, sometimes they are given away for free! 😯 They make the perfect statement piece for your home, shop or place of work! All around the U.K., you can find public pianos: in most of the major train and Underground stations in London, on the streets of Liverpool. I once even saw one in the main square at St. Just in Cornwall, fully exposed to the sea air. These pianos are a public good — everyone plays them, from children just starting out, to boogie-woogie and classical masters who happen to be passing by. An impromptu concert by an excellent musician can draw a crowd of a hundred or more. (For two good examples, check out @drkboogiewoogie and @terrymilespiano on YouTube.) I used to try to get a bit of practice in before work in the mornings on the piano at St. Pancras station.
