Sometimes closing in a wall can make more space than opening one up! .In this multi-level home, this opening in the living room overlooking the foyer was making it challenging to lay out furniture and make the most use of the space. Not every project calls for taking down walls... sometimes we actually add new ones! In this multi-level home, closing in part of the opening over-looking the foyer helped to create a more functional layout in both the living room and the foyer! Here you can see we created the perfect spot for this lovely refinished piano, and on the opposite side of this wall is a bench and coat hooks in the foyer.
