I'm so fortunate to collaborate with talented, passionate, loving artists. I think the art industry can sometimes have a negative view on working together as artists. I'm obsessed with #communityovercompetition, I'm obsessed with being inspired by each other's work rather than trying to be THE artist of that medium, that town, whatever. I'm so fortunate to be working on the #paintedpianoproject with Amanda! @paloma_amanda she is so crazy talented, as you can see by that stunning front panel, but she is also a true artist. everything she touches is art, everything she sees is art. and when she asked if I was interested in incorporating my Persian heritage into this piece, I actually cried to her. haha it meant so much that she wanted this piece to be a reflection of US, not just our art. thank you for doing this with me Amanda.
