We’ve been hard at work rushing to get some projects done before the busy summer season starts. I have 1/2 a piano refurbished, 1/2 an office painted, and lots of things to add to the soil to prep for my cacti transplants and new plantings. It’s interesting to see something run down turn into something brand new by giving it some time and attention. I think sometimes the same can be said for ourselves. We live in a culture where self care is king, but people rarely stop to think about what that actually is. It’s certainly hard work, and self care can’t always be obtained with a bubble bath and pedicure. With some time and attention focused on working on yourself and I mean *really* working, you can be rejuvenated and find a newfound sense of focus and peace. Getting off my phone and doing something with my hands is my favorite form of self care. How about you?
