Kids in the park always stopped few minutes at the piano and others kids would follow up, usually in children playgrounds I noticed that the piano is always busy the whole time till kids are there, often i wait even two hours just to play some music because I never wanted to stop these magic spontaneous moments so for me also watching and listening how kids interact with the piano and within each others is priceless and magic so I'm so glad to be able to witness these moments. Freshly back from a quick run down to Virginia with @sistersparrowdb and full of NoLa spirit after sharing the stage with @funkybigsam I sought out the next @singforhope piano. This time in Astoria. It was punchy and bright, perfect for a little @aka_drjohn tribute. Here’s a snippet of “Right Place, Wrong Time”. I didn’t get to meet the cute girl who runs up at the beginning, she was gone by the time I was done playing. But this one is dedicated to her, as well as the great man himself. Dr. John was a living legend and unique spirit. I’m grateful for his influence on me as a pianist. I’m sorry I never got to meet him and thank him for his inspiration and lessons.
