“After You’ve Gone” an old jazz standard. The winds took my hat away just before this clip started. . . I don’t consider myself a vocalist by any means. In fact, it’s been a great source of insecurity for me and my ‘identity’ as a musician. But I’ve enjoyed listening to and playing with some great vocalists over the years, and it’s something I love to do in secret. As I continue to work on better expressing myself and connecting with others, I’d love to be able to communicate more in this way. When busking, I feel a palpable shift in people’s attention when they can tune in and connect with some form of lyrics and vocals.
